If you haven’t heard the latest news, a “star athlete” and “student from stanford” basically got a slap on the wrist (6 months jail=not enough) for assaulting and raping a girl (and left her unconscious behind a dumpster) because he’s a “school athlete” that has “a lot to offer” I’m sorry but i didn’t realise because your hobbies including swimming and you go to an elite school you get let off easy?!?! Above is a statement HIS DAD wrote…you can very well see that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. He worries “it was just one rape and Brock may not be able to enjoy steak ever, because he is so depressed all the time.” (yeah, he literally wrote that in the statement like wtf) If he was trying to look for sympathy, then that is the most pathetic thing i have ever read in my life and i actually laughed out loud at how stupid it is

I’m posting this mini rant because i just read the victims statement to her attacker, and it is literally the most powerful thing I’ve ever read, it’s quite long but soooo worth it.
